Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Do you thrive on analyzing, assessing and solving IT security issues for IT
systems and applications in large enterprises?
We could use your subject matter expertise now on our team as a Senior IT
Security Engineer.
The Senior IT Security Engineer reports to the Director of IT Security &
Compliance and is a member of the security engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing security, performance, and availability assessments
- Perform operating system & application security assessments of
routine-to-moderate complexity and review for evidence of vulnerability,
compromise or compliance issues, assisting with the implementation of resolution
- Development, documentation & maintenance of a reusable library of programs,
scripts and tools for use within the IT Security & Compliance team
- Research, analyze, design, test & implement new or vendor supplied security
software solutions
- Provide accurate & current documentation/procedures on security software
product administration
- Provide guidance for enterprise patching to ensure efficacy of patching
procedures and processes
- Assist in the development of technical security standards to support
policies, including creating, coordinating & monitoring standards and incident
investigation procedures
- Act as liaison to Internal Audit and external compliance auditors
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies for threat reduction based on
monitoring of IT systems
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- 4+ years experience in an information security engineering role
- Hands-on experience performing IT controls
- Significant experience using standard security tools, including Nessus,
Wireshark, nmap
- Scripting/programming experience in Perl, .NET, C#, C and/or VisualBasic
– Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills
– Ability to meet deliverables and deadlines with quality standards
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
– Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment
- CISSP, SANS or other technical security certificaton(s)
