Position: Security Engineer
Location: New York, New York, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2008-01-14
Monitoring, analyzing security alerts (primarily from ID and Firewall) using a
SIM tool and escalating them to local support personnel.
Troubleshooting and deployment of IDS/IPS infrastructure;
Good knowledge of Linux OS, including upgrading, patching, troubleshooting and
hardening.
Experience capturing and analyzing packets using ethereal, tcpdump or any other
sniffer;
Signature/firmware upgrades on IDS/IPS sensors;
Tuning IDS/IPS signatures;
Review new security Vulnerabilities;
Perform vulnerability assessments/scans;
JOB REQUIREMENTS

5-6 year experience in IT with at least 3 years working as a security
professional;
Experience with Cisco 4235 IPS sensors and Cisco IDSM2 blades, McAfee Intruvert
IPS sensors, NetFornsics SIM,
Cisco works VMS management platform, Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrators and PIX
Firewalls;
Experience with various security tools, such as NMap, Retina, Nessus
Working knowledge of understanding of RedHat, Solars, and Windows 2000 Server
OS;
B.S in Computer Science
CISSP and or CCSP
