THE VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES  

The VP of Sales will be a proven executive and a strategic business thinker who 
can build upon NextLabs’ current momentum and drive the sales organization 
and company to new levels of success. Attracting a seasoned VP of Sales and 
business partner at this juncture in the company’s growth is a key 
imperative and a strategic initiative aimed at aggressively attacking market 
opportunity.  

The VP of Sales will be responsible for driving all sales efforts.  He/she will 
be a seasoned executive who has led both indirect and direct selling 
initiatives.  The selling model and channel strategy are a work in progress.  
The VP of Sales will look at the process and methodology of the current model 
and construct ways in which NextLabs can accelerate revenue and market share.  

The role will require a nimble leader who has a track record of scaling revenue 
and a results-oriented staff.  In addition to hiring, motivating and leading 
the sales organization, the VP will be a professional “relationship 
developer” - an executive well schooled in developing and driving high 
quality and responsive channel partners.  He or she will be responsible for 
developing new alliances, establishing go-to-market partnerships, and working 
with established partners to drive revenue and develop the business. This 
person needs to appreciate and have experience enabling strategic partners and 
supporting a partner-driven sales model.
The role will require a business-oriented executive who is savvy to changes in 
the marketplace and can deliver an effective sales and delivery strategy. It 
will also require an individual who can establish a results- and 
performance-based culture while infusing the right level of process and 
prioritization.  The VP of Sales must be a global executive with experience 
selling solutions in a sell-through model. The VP will have a proven track 
record of both domestic and international success.  He or she will also have a 
track record of success in both established and start-up environments.   The VP 
will operate with a hands-on strategy, actively participating in the execution 
of the overall company and sales strategy.

•  Excellent at selling big ticket solutions to large customers from cold 
start.
•  Experience selling internationally.
•  Track record of success in both large companies and in hyper-growth, 
early stage ventures.
•  Proven ability to create and execute upon strategic, multi-tiered 
channel sales strategies in addition to success selling directly to the 
enterprise.  
•  Smart, Dynamic, Creative, Aggressive and Strategic.
•  Ability to find, define and articulate a strong value proposition. 
•  Considered to be a great leader and motivator of people and unafraid to 
roll up his/her sleeves, get it done and “lead from the front”.
•  Ability to recruit, hire, train and mentor the sales team, and manage a 
disciplined, motivated sales team by utilizing the Company's selling process to 
achieve sales objectives.  (Responsibilities include: developing territory 
management plans, teaching and mentoring the sales team to effectively develop 
and close accounts, to win business through deepening contact networks, and to 
write effective customer proposals).
•  Ability to manage an environment of open communication and 
uncompromised standards of business conduct.
•  Ability to ensure that the sales representatives have prepared call 
lists, completed sales calls/reports and taken all appropriate actions needed 
to drive and sustain business.
•  Possesses a “team player” mentality and ability to create a

•  Ability to articulate and define relevant methodology. 
•  Strong executive presence and ability to command respect.
