Position: Security Consultant
Location: Springfield, Massachusetts, United States
Type: Permanent P/T
Closing Date: 2008-01-03
Position Description
Provides security consulting and architecture design for projects and
initiatives. Engaged in multiple enterprise initiatives to ensure proper
security controls and systems are implemented. Knowledge of risk assessment
procedures, policy formation, authorization methodologies, authentication
technologies and security attack pathologies is essential.
Consults as required with management, development teams, Information Security
staff, auditors and other relevant personnel to identify and implement security
objectives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Skills and Knowledge
• Solid background in security governance and controls
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills; ability to effectively
interface with a wide variety of people
• Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based
authorization methodologies, authentication technologies, and security attack
pathologies
• Ability to consult as a recognized security expert to other IT groups
• Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies; flexibility to
handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience:
• Five to ten years of experience in IT, with a broad range of exposure.
• Information Security architecture related experience desired.
• Financial Services regulatory experience including HIPAA, Sarbanes Oxley
and GLBA.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or
equivalent experience preferred.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation
preferred.
Salary: $85,000-$95,000
