Position: Software Engineer
Location: Bethesda, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-12-10
Job Summary:
Develops software for wireless Ethernet network communications (802.11 a/b/g)
systems supporting healthcare applications. Will participate in the engineering
team responsible for the design, development, ongoing enhancement and continued
maintenance of the company's Linux-based embedded platforms while supporting
the product development and production operating environments
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
MUST HAVES:
*2+ years of Linux experience (can be combo of personal, school and work
experience)
*Good understanding of IP (questions for candidates: How routing works? How do
different IP protocols work? Which protocols do you use when?) Should be
familiar with HTTP, HTTPS, and SNPP
*Some shell scripting experience (ideally 2 yrs+ but will be flexible)
Plus:
*Any experience with wireless would be highly preferred (not cell phone but
telecom industry experience could work)
*Any experience with Perl Scripting
