Position: Application Security Architect
Location: St. Louis, Missouri, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

The Information Security Office seeks an Information Security Architect to the
join the security architecture team with a primary focus on establishing
enterprise scale application security practices. Monsanto's Information
Security Architecture Team ensures the confidentiality, availability, and
integrity of data by applying security design principles to applications,
infrastructure, processes, and business activities. In this role, the
Information Security Architect will lead efforts to establish long term
application security architectural direction and oversee execution of that
strategy. Responsibilities include:
- Develop security architecture strategies and roadmaps aligned with business
needs in the areas of service oriented architectures, identity and access
management, and secure coding procedures.
- Lead initiatives to deploy identity and access management and application
security architecture solutions.
- Coordinate security reviews for existing and new applications.
- Track industry trends and emerging threats in information and application
security.
- Work within the Information Security organization to create and provide
ongoing stewardship for application security policies and related standards.
- Participate in collaborative teams in the development of enterprise security
strategies in the areas of network, application, and data security.
- Ensure compliance with information security standards through representation
on project and virtual teams.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Five or more years of application security and technical leadership.
- Knowledge of industry trends for enterprise application architectures,
application interoperability, service oriented architectures, and identity and
access management.
- Experience with application vulnerability assessments, security best
practices, testing methodologies, and remediation.
- Previous experience in conducting application risk assessments and security
reviews.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Ability to quickly understand complex problems, effectively construct and
communicate options, and
- drive results.
- Project management experience.
Desired skills/education/experience/attributes (ideal candidate):
- Experience with JAVA, Microsoft SharePoint, and SAP platforms.
- Design and architecture experience with Web Access Management and Identity
Management solutions
- Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
