Job Title:      Account Manger (Consulting Sales)

Reports To:     Senior Vice President Sales     

Manages and directs Regional Sales to achieve company revenue goals. Develops 
new prospects and interacts with existing customers to ensure company Regional 
Sales of core consulting service lines.  Designs and recommends regional 
marketing programs. Helps sets short and long-term regional sales strategies. 
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1.   Manage the Inbound Regional Sales Process:  Track inbound requests 
primarily for consulting service lines, follow up on valid opportunities.
2.  Manage the Outbound Regional Sales Process:  Create, identify and target 
additional avenues to generate regional sales leads for consulting services.  
This could entail occasionally attending tradeshows and other industry events 
where the company has a presence.  
3.  Regional Sales leads: (inbound, outbound and targeted) and contacts.  
Ensure that all consulting leads are input and cultivated and input into a 
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.  
4. Prospect management:  Move outstanding consulting leads, prospects, and 
opportunities to closure. 
5.   Manage the Regional Sales process: Follow prospects that have been 
assigned from beginning to end, (from prospect, proposal deliverable, 
negotiations, to contract/P.O.).  Create and present consulting Regional Sales 
presentations to prospective clients.   
6.   Overall Account Management: Work to achieve the revenue objectives.  Reply 
to all consulting requests from prospects and clients (including RFI, RFP), 
responsible for client satisfaction and account growth/ up sell.  Identify and 
develop new consulting Regional Sales opportunities.  Help manage strategic and 
tactical planning and day-to-day account management activities. Work to ensure 
joint collaboration w/ the consulting resources to support client requirements. 
 Work to ensure that accounting and consulting department has all necessary 
documentation to understand the full requirements of each interaction with 
clients. 
7.   Regional Sales Marketing:  Collaborate with the Marketing department to 
help ensure the success of various consulting regional sales programs.  
Evaluation programs, targeted outbound lead generation campaigns, Web traffic 
analysis, executive briefings etc.  
8.  Siebel support:  Input all applicable contracts for booking in a timely 
fashion into applicable Siebel system. 
9.  Tradeshow Support:  (When applicable and warranted), represent the company 
at industry trade shows and related events.  Participation at a tradeshow or 
company even could include logistical planning, company booth construction, 
physically being in the booth, meeting and greeting prospective clients, and 
following up on direct Regional Sales opportunities up return from the 
Tradeshow/event.   Work with external or internal resources to develop 
post-event follow up campaigns.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:  

The Regional Sales Manager should have a basic knowledge of information 
security concepts along with:  
•  Basic understanding of LAN’s, WAN, various platforms, and IT 
technologies.  
•  Knowledge of various security components at the network, OS and 
application level.
•  Knowledge of consulting services

OTHER Required SKILLS: 
Must have the ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work with little 
or no supervision:
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Exceptional organizational with attention to detail and strong time 
management skills, 
•  Willing to travel 25-50%
•  Resourceful, assertive, and task oriented; ability to multitask and 
respond rapidly to change
•  Previous Regional Sales experience in a fast-paced IT environment
•  Past experience managing within a budget
•  Strong in follow-up on tasks, calls, and action items
