Enbridge Inc. in Calgary has a challenging career opportunity available for an 
IT Security Analyst in the CIO department. As a member of the Enterprise 
Information Security team the IT Security Analyst will assist in development 
and implementation of consistent Information Security practices at Enbridge.

By providing in depth technical and communication expertise with a 
business-oriented focus, you will be responsible for:

Supporting ongoing Threat and Risk assessments and IT security audits of the 
enterprise-level IT systems & applications in order to assist system owners 
with identification of risks and provide recommendations on how to mitigate 
them.

Assisting in the development of the enterprise security strategy by informing 
management of required improvements to organizational, governance, and 
technology solutions.

Participating in development and implementation of company-wide programs aiming 
at improving information security, including security awareness programs, 
policies, guidelines and standards.

Updating IT-related corporate disaster recovery and continuity plans.

Documenting selected components of IT security governance (e.g. system-level 
procedures, manuals) and assisting with impact assessments needed to support 
the new governance models.

Tracking information about current threats and vulnerabilities in order to 
assist business units in development of their incident response programs.

Assisting in planning and coordination of vulnerability and risk assessments 
enterprise wide.

Monitoring and analyzing IT security and risk metrics across the enterprise to 
enable measurement of the  effectiveness of Enbridge IT security strategy and 
its IT risk management processes.

Providing specific assistance in enterprise-wide IT security projects.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the field of Information Security, IT 
Audit or related disciplines.
 
Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical 
security requirements that meet enterprise security standards and policies.

Solid understanding of the commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures 
within the Information Security field including, but not limited to operating 
systems and network security, application security, vulnerability analysis, 
encryption technologies, intrusion detection, incident response, business 
continuity management, etc.

Experience with conducting comprehensive Threat and Risk assessments of IT 
systems, applications, and networks. 

Experience with developing and implementing Information Security policies and 
procedures. 

Knowledge of best practice security frameworks, commonly used risk assessment 
methodologies, industry recognized IT audit and controls standards  and  other 
industry resources.

Practical experience with deployment and/or operation of commonly used 
information security solutions.

University degree or diploma in Computer Systems, Business or related 
discipline.

Strong communication skills including both technical and business writing, 
documentation and presentation skills.

Possession or working toward achieving the following professional 
qualifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM.
