Position: Security Consultant
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-12-14
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.
• Performs Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration Tests, Web Application
Assessments, Data Privacy, Wireless and other Information Security Assessments;
• Meets with customers to determine need, position solutions, and develop
deliverables around Core’s Information Security services offerings;
• Engages in all aspects of solution delivery, from client requirements
definition, scoping, and proposal writing; to hands on delivery, through
creation of deliverable documentation and post-delivery presentations.
• Prepare written reports at the engineering level, manager level, and
executive levels
• Contribute to engagement planning and ensuring that
products/deliverables meet contract/work plan.
• Contributes to Security Practice offerings by researching market
trends, suggesting new products and processes.
• Maintains operational performance of Core’s Security Assessment &
Testing Lab.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• AS/BS degree in related field and/or a combination of education and
professional experience
• 5+ years of professional experience
• Certifications – CISSP, CeH, CISA, CISM, SANS-GIAC
• Ability to manage three or more projects simultaneously
• Medium to large scale system planning, deployment, operations
experience in appropriate field
• Knowledgeable and skilled to low-end Build Level in Core’s
strategic skills in your field(s)
• Demonstrate consistently above average & very effective decision making
and risk management skills
• Demonstrate consistently above average & very effective oral and
written communication skills
• Demonstrates consistently above average & very effective attention to
detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
• Develops innovative approaches, ideas and solutions
• Demonstrates consistently above average & very effective interpersonal
skills
• Ability to mentor Systems Consultants on best practices
• Demonstrates consistently above average & very effective problem
solving skills
• Excellent self motivation
• Identifies business opportunities while completing on-site projects
• Customer focused - Enterprise oriented
• Maintains knowledge of Core’s service offerings
• Average out-of-state travel requirements
