Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Bloomington, Illinois, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-12-15
Ability to work independently to achieve results – ability to perform
analysis, learn new concepts, and form interpersonal connections in a timely
manner
Experience working in a team environment
Aptitude for explaining complex or technical concepts to non-technical audience
Experience speaking in front of large audiences in a presentation environment
Experience presenting solutions to members of management
Ability to work with business partners to gather security requirements
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to multi task while maintaining a high-level of work quality
Experience working within industry accepted project methodologies
Experience creating project deliverables for every phase of lifecycle
(requirements, design, development, etc)
Understanding and experience implementing security controls throughout an
application flow
Understanding of security concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Auditing,
Cryptography, etc.)
Security work experience with an emphasis on design of security solutions
rather than security administration
Special Requirements:
This individual will normally work first shift, although they need to be
shift-flexible. They will be expected to work additional hours when required,
including 2nd shift, 3rd shift, weekends and holidays. This individual will be
expected to be on a rolling call list to provide after hours support. They may
be asked to carry cell phone and/or pager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Business Application Security Team designs and develops end to end security
solutions for thin-client business applications. BAS analysts are required to
possess a broad understanding of information security technologies, concepts,
and risk management techniques. BAS analysts must also have a keen
understanding of project methodology and client technical infrastructure.
Technical Skills Needed:
Candidate should have 4 or more of the technical skills listed:
Object-oriented analysis experience
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/UDP, routing, switching, etc.)
Securing application protocols (HTTP, SOAP, RMI/IIOP, JDBC, LDAP, etc.)
Knowledge of server, network, database, or application hardening
Vulnerability analysis and attack vector identification for thin-client web
applications
Risk assessment and mitigation strategy experience
Understanding of thin-client application architecture
Understanding of security-oriented protocols (SSL, SSH, IPSEC, Kerberos, etc)
Security related experience and general knowledge in 4 or more of the following
areas:
Windows Server, UNIX (preferably HP-UX or AIX), or z/OS
Microsoft IIS, COM+
IBM WebSphere
.NET, J2EE
Web Services and XML
Middleware technologies, relational databases, and LDAP directory services
