Position: Technical Writer
Location: Fredericton or Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada
Type: Permanent F/T

Our client is a highly successful network security management company, with
approximately 70 employees located in both the United States and Canada. They
are currently recruiting for a Senior Technical Writer to join their
documentation team, to be based in Fredericton or Saint John, New Brunswick,
Canada.
As a Senior Technical Writer, you will primarily be responsible for creating
and updating user documentation for enterprise software products in various
media, including PDF and on-line help. This role involves participating in
reviews of content, working closely with the team to share information to
ensure technical and visual consistency across multiple documents while
adhering to the company style guide and writing standards, working closely with
SME’s and support teams for information gathering, performing
pre-production of all documentation, and, of course, constantly improving the
quality and processes of highly technical documentation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Required for this position:
• 5+ years of solid technical writing experience, in the capacity of a
Technical Writer
• solid experience with FrameMaker (structured and unstructured) and Adobe
Suite of products
• experience with XML
• strong technical background including experience in data networking
• experience producing release notes
• experience developing Help systems
• experience manipulating screen captures and graphics
• able to quickly adapt to changing requirements, as well as manage
aggressive schedules and deadlines
