Position:       Jr. Security Analyst
Location:       Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Type:           Permanent F/T

Background:

The Security Programmer / Analyst will work within the Research and Technology
Development department to develop and test secure configurations for new
and existing products. This position offers an opportunity to
participate in leading-edge critical infrastructure security and to
build skills in a broad range of security fields. Working with other
security team members, the Security Programmer / Analyst will continually grow 
their
knowledge of both security and industry through technically challenging
work and training opportunities.

Position Summary & Major Responsibilities:

*     Test and develop deployment models for 3rd-Party security applications 
and tools such as antivirus, system backup, and intrusion detection appliances
*     Provide security feedback into the Product Development team
*     Develop secure infrastructure components for multiple products
*     Provide security development support to development teams
*     Support security testing and quality assurance efforts including monthly 
patch validation
*     Assist in troubleshooting product security support cases
*     Build and test product security configurations
*     Assist in configuring and maintaining test equipment
*     Work collaboratively with other Telvent departments


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Education & Experience Preferred:


*     A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related 
discipline
*     Managed code skills (C# preferred), or knowledge of C++ with a 
willingness to work with managed code
*     1 to 3 years of industry experience is preferred
*     Willingness and aptitude towards achieving industry security 
certifications, such as GSEC
*     Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy is an asset
*     Must have a valid passport and be capable of traveling into the United 
States
*     Ability to obtain security clearance is an asset
