The City of Bloomington is located in Central Illinois, approximately 125 miles
southwest of Chicago, 155 miles northeast of St. Louis, and 64 miles northeast
of Springfield, the State Capital. There are two universities, three hospitals,
a convention center, two indoor malls, an outdoor outlet mall, and many banks
and Savings & Loan Associations located in the Bloomington-Normal area. It is a
great place to live and has a low cost of living.
Desired skills include working experience with 3 or more of the following:
a) Windows 2000/2003 server support skills - experience with enablement of
interoperability in a multi-platform networked environment
(Windows, UNIX, Mainframe)
b) Experience using and applying group policy
c) IIS/Exchange - ISA Server knowledge and experience
d) Scripting (VB, C++, C#, .NET)
e) Knowledge of and experience with SDM
f) Knowledge of a Windows domain environment
SANS Security Essentials (GSEC), Security +, or CISSP certification desired.
If not already certified, then must be able to complete Security certification
within a reasonable period of time.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to solve problems logically and systematically.
Ability to easily adjust to changes in work assignments.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Good written and oral communication skills including an ability to explain
complex concepts to others.
Availability to provide coverage for off-business hours and weekends during
project implementations.
