Type:           Permanent F/T

Jr./Mid Certification and Accreditation Engineer – Federal Government

Start Date: 7 November 2007

Travel: 10-20%

Salary: $55-75K DOE/Full Benefits/Performance Bonus

• Demonstrated ability to communicate with and distill information from 
technical resources during formal and informal meetings

• Exposure to Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software 
development project/technology terminology as it relates to Information 
Security/Information Assurance. This includes web-based portals, Single-Sign-On 
(SSO) and identification and authentication systems. 

Experience with the security aspects of distributed financial systems

• Strong organizational, planning, and analytical skills to ensure 
efficient and consistent technical documentation

Experience reviewing, and updating systems security documentation to include:

System Security Plans (NIST SP 80-53 Format – all controls)

Security Testing and Evaluation (NIST SP 800-26)

Security Controls Assessment (High/Medium Systems – NIST 800-53 Format) 

Continuity Of Operation Plans (The Presidential Decision Directive 67 Format)

Risk Assessments (NIST SP 800-30 Format)

Security Requirements Traceability Matrix (SRTM)

Systems Design and application specification documents

 System Security/Vulnerability Scan/Sniffer reports
 




JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------

• 1-4 Years Experience in C&A of Federal Information Systems applying the 
NIST Guidelines and Standards. DITSCAP/DIACAP/Etc. experience may also apply.

• Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in information 
systems/security, computer science, management or related field

• US Citizen (REQUIRED)

• Able to obtain a Security Clearance (Not required but highly recommended)

• Strong MS Office and Adobe products skills

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills

• Self motivated and able to work in an independent manner or as part of a 
team

• Able to work in a fast pace deadline driven environment
