Position: Quality Assurance
Location: Palo Alto, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-12-06
Plan, develop and execute automated tests for application programming
interfaces (API) and command-line utilities using automated test tools (STAF,
NUnit) and programming languages such as C, C#, C++, Perl and Python on
Windows, Linux and Unix operating systems. Create and maintain test
environments as needed.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute automated API and unit tests using unit test frameworks
such as NUnit and STAF.
Develop and execute automated Security tests using proprietary framework.
Write automated security tests to tweak exploits to ensure they are working
properly.
Analyze automated test runs and report results.
Work closely with development and other QA engineers to automate test cases
based on functional requirements and specifications.
Create and maintain virtual test environments by installing OS and configuring
volumes as needed.
Requirements
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years programming in C, Java, and/or C++ using IDEs such as Visual
Studio is required.
• Experience with unit test frameworks such as JUnit or NUnit.
• Experience writing API’s test scripts and reporting results.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Linux/Unix/Windows is essential.
• 2+ years of recent hands-on experience in Perl, Python, or another
scripting language.
• A strong background in Software Engineering, Quality Assurance processes
and requirements-based testing.
• Must possess excellent problem solving skills and a good ability to
think creatively and work through problems collaboratively, in a team
environment.
• Must possess systems administration skills & be able to trouble shoot
and debug system issues.
• Ideal candidate has strong analytical and communication skills, and is a
strong self-starter with attention to detail.
Bonus Requirements
• Experience with Exploit Testing platforms such as Metasploit or Canvas.
• Working knowledge of VMware Infrastructure 2/3.
• Experience with code coverage tools.
• Oracle experience
• Solaris experience
• Working knowledge of iSCSI protocol
• Working knowledge of Fibre Channel protocol
