Position: Security Engineer
Location: Hunt Valley, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-11-30
Candidates will be responsible for the following: Specification, design and
analysis of Security infrastructure architecture. Lead development and
implementation of new security technology and systems. Establishing and
maintaining infrastructure security policy, standards and practices. Perform
and lead vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Primary focus is the Infrastructure segment of the IT industry which includes:
Network Design, Network Security, Network Management, Information Security,
Software Development, Business Process, ISP/ASP, NOC and associated
disciplines. CMS Managed Recruiting Solutions, Inc provides Retained and
Contingency recruiting, Outsource Recruiting (Managed Recruiting Solutions),
and professional services consulting.
5 years experience in, design, integration, implementation and analysis and
support of enterprise technology. Must have a complete understanding of
security practices, principles, security technologies, and configuration
expertise on Firewalls, IDS’s, Host and Router security methodologies.
Professional documentation experience is preferable.
Firewalls: Must have working knowledge of two or more of the following
Firewalls: Checkpoint FW1, NG, or other current Checkpoint versions Cisco Pix,
Netscreen or ISS products. IDS: Must have strong understanding of IDS and
experience with at least two the following: Dragon, Cisco IDS, Snort, ISS
Source or other predominant IDS's.
Required Skills:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience required. 5+ years of
hands on security experience with a focus on firewall/web infrastructure
support. IDS implementation and support. Security related certification such
as CISSP or CCSP is a plus.
Desired Skills:
Firewall, IDS, VPN, design and architecture
Strategic technology planning/execution
Global Infrastructure security
design, test document and implementation
LAN/WAN security; network and
security expert
Network security architecture design/optimization
Extensive
knowledge of Cisco ASA/PIX firewalls.
Cisco firewall service modules including their design, configuration, and
implementation.
Position places special emphasis on design and implementation of security
solutions. This is a permanent position and the salary will be dependent on
experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in IT
security. This position involves design, implementation, integration,
configuration and testing of computer and network security solutions for both
government and commercial clients. This position will also provide pre-sales
and post-sales security consulting support for the sales force. The
successful candidate must be self-disciplined to work on individual tasks and
must work well in a team environment.
The ideal candidate has security experience in most of the following areas:
·TCP/IP networking and network integration: Routers, hubs, switches and
various network topologies.
·Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems and security
·Experience with Firewalls, VPNs, Intrusion Detection, Content
Inspection and
Authentication Mechanisms.
·Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools and methods
·Incident response
