Position: Jr. Security Analyst
Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
Type: Permanent F/T

background in hacking and linux and a desire to work on challenging,
security-related projects to work as part of a team of highly trained staff in

Company Background & Job Purpose

- Based in lower north shore
- Operational management & monitoring of multiple customer security
environments
- Reports to SOC Manager
- Communication skills are essential
- Five (5) year graduate program includes extensive training, development and
certification
Responsibilities
- Manage customer networks and security infrastructure from our Security
Operations Centres
- Monitor and analyse logs, hack attacks and forensic data Management and
reporting of IT Risks for identified vulnerabilities and IPS signatures
- Ability to perform vulnerability assessments, code audits, applications
security checks
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Pre-requisites & Qualifications
You will already have demonstrated knowledge in the area of computer security.
You understand how hackers circumvent security through reconnaissance and
attacks such as half-open scanning, fingerprinting, buffer overflows, format
string vulnerabilities, trusted host abuse, man-in-the-middle attacks,
rootkits, to name a few. You will already have familiarity and practical
application with open-source security and understand not just how to use them,
but how and why they work.
- University degree in a computer-related discipline
- Excellent communication skills and thirst for knowledge
- Strong passion for all aspects of network/computer security
- Excellent understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting skills
- Solid knowledge of hacking techniques, vulnerabilities, tools and IPS
Signatures
- Good understanding of Linux, Unix, or BSD operating system(s)
- Understanding of programming and programming principles
