Position: Security System Administrator

Responsibilities:
Perform ticket queue monitoring, and prioritization
Perform required maintenance for installation, configuration, and updates to
firewalls, and VPN connections
Candidate will regularly troubleshoot customer IPSEC client and site-to-site
VPN connections
Candidate will also deploy Cisco IDS sensors and configure monitor sessions on
the access switch
Setup, configuration, troubleshooting and consultation of Cisco CSS content
switches and Webmux load balancers
Maintain customer DNS Zones including updates and performing migrations, and
troubleshooting
The candidate will also interact with customers via telephone to assist in
setup or diagnostics of customer environments
Candidate will be responsible for provisioning, routing, and documenting IP
address allocations for customer equipment
Use various 3rd party tools to monitor and address issues within our
environment
Candidate must have the ability and desire to work within a Team Driven
environment and be responsible enough to work solo
Candidates must also be proficient at researching issues using traffic analysis
tools, debug tools, and vendor information

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Requirements:
Excellent attitude, great phone etiquette, minimum typing speed of 40 words per
minute
Candidate must possess the ability to both record and following detailed
instructions and perform vendor research into advanced configurations &
solutions
Candidate must have the ability to work in a mixed environment of GUI & command
line operating systems. Working knowledge of an OS (Windows, Linux, Solaris,
BSD)
Knowledge of TCP/IP ports and services. Familiarity with IP Tables a plus
Ability to create and perform simple command line scripts. Knowledge of PERL a
plus.
Knowledge of DNS (A records, CNAMES, MX records, Authority Section, TTL
values.)
Advanced knowledge of the PIX firewall required. Cisco PIX Certification a plus
Knowledge of Cisco IDS configuration and tuning recommended. Certification a
plus.
Knowledge of load balancing a plus
Knowledge of IP routing and switching required
Knowledge or familiarity with web hosting a plus
