Position: Security Engineer
Location: Washington DC area, District of Columbia, United States
Type: Contract

===SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER===
Performs professional engineering assignments in support of the MHS engineering
efforts in one or more of the following disciplines: application systems
support, switched networks, remote management. For example, supports
standardization, development, and maintenance of the MHS EBS.
Configures system hardware, software and network components. Assembles and
integrates system/product, and verifies system/product operation.
Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
Applies extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures
to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective
ways. Comprehensive understanding of the general/technical aspects of the job.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications: Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree/Computer Science or
equivalent. Sound technical knowledge and computing support background.
Technology knowledge (focus on hardware, thorough knowledge in operating
systems required). Analytical problem-solving skills. Flexibility. Excellent
communication skills. Willingness to participate in non-standard working-time
models (e.g. shift, call availability, etc.) Team player - ability and
willingness to work with various teams in the support area.
Skills: Egenera Blade, Pan Manger, VMware, SAN, Windows 2000, Windows 2003,
Linux – Red Hat 3x, Cisco, Xceedium, Security/DISTCAP, Public Key
Infrastructure.
Required Skills: Linux Red Hat 3x and SAN knowledge.
