Position: Security Engineer
Location: West Port, Connecticut, United States
Type: Permanent P/T

Position Summary:
As part of our Information Security team, this individual will drive and
execute development and implementation projects to improve our security
posture. We are aggressive in deploying security technology to protect our
information, and you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools.
It is not a programming position – we are looking for someone who will
help us identify, test, configure, and deploy the best security technology
commercially available.
Due to the nature of our business, we maintain one of the highest levels of
internal and external information security anywhere. Security is absolutely
mission-critical to our continued operations, and as a key member of our
Information Security team, you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact
from day one. This position reports to the Information Security Officer.
Coding/programming experience is not required, but previous scripting
experience is a plus.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Responsibilities would include:
• Implementing new security technology
• Driving and executing upgrades and improvements to existing
technology
• Defining security standards to be used across the company
• Identifying and implementing ways to automate security checks
and changes
Position Requirements:
While knowledge in the financial industry is certainly a plus, it’s more
important that the candidate:
• Holds a college degree
• Has two plus years of related business experience
• Demonstrates exceptional leadership aptitude
• Has an open and engaging personality and a quick mind
• Is highly intelligent and driven with an unusual amount of
commonsense
• Is comfortable giving and receiving criticism, working
independently, and boldly taking charge
• Demonstrates superior problem solving skills
This person will be held to the highest levels of ethical conduct.
Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
• Experience with VBScript or Powershell
• Previous experience handling sensitive/confidential data
• Experience with deploying security technology
