Security Pre-Sales Engineer 

Summary: 

Note: No relocation needed - 2 positions: serving Eastern or Western US 
customers; frequent travel from home-based office to meet with customers. 

Provides Pre-Sales Support and Consultancy to customers, prospects and partners 
by designing solutions to meet their requirements, creating proposal documents 
to describe those solutions, and presenting the solutions to them at all 
levels. The Pre-Sales Engineer is also responsible for identifying and 
understanding the strategic market trends of the marketplace and our 
competitors, enabling the Company to further develop leading-edge products, 
services and solutions for the global financial market requirements.

Responsibilities: 
• Provide technical sales support for all products. 
• Work together with the Business Development and Technical Support teams 
to ensure overall customer satisfaction. 
• Review customer operations to understand business functions and 
application requirements to help customers define technical needs and recommend 
effective solutions utilizing Company products. 
• Identify technical requirements of the customer and provide clear 
definition of feasibility and risks. 
• Support contract negotiations. 
• Prepare responses to RFPs, RFIs, and project proposals. 
• Provide plans, workflows, and estimates to sales teams and project 
managers for upcoming projects. 
• Prepare initial solution presentations and demonstrations for all 
Company products. 
• Provide high-level technical support, consultation and training on 
company’s products and capabilities to Partners, End-Users and other 
departments as part of the sales cycle. 
• Develop functional specifications for solutions to address new markets 
or specific customer requirements, coordinate with Engineering to produce 
estimates for development of solution, and oversee the development, as needed, 
to ensure solutions meet market and/or customer requirements. 
• Work closely with Product Management to identify, evaluate, and make 
technical recommendations regarding strategic product enhancements based on 
market initiatives, new technology, partnerships or customer requirements. 
• Maintain technical awareness of relevant products, competitors, and 
trends in the marketplace.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. degree 
• 5+ years in the network security industry including substantial direct 
contact with customers in a pre-sales role 
• Experience working independently, leading projects and developing 
solutions by working with diverse teams 
• Track record of strong strategic decision making; obtaining information, 
and identifying key issues and relationships relevant to long-range goals 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Preferred (not required): familiarity with cryptography, public key 
infrastructure, smart cards, hardware security modules, data communications, 
and programming concepts. 
• Heavy travel required (up to 75%) - travel to customer locations from 
home-office base (no need to relocate)
