Develop and deliver technical instructor-led and online training courses on
world leading IDS/IPS technologies Sourcefire and Snort. The ideal candidate
will need to have an extensive technical background to work with various
operating systems, such as Linux and Windows, in order to create, test and
implement lab scenarios that demonstrate all the features and functionality of
Sourcefire’s products both commercial and open source. This position also
requires that candidates have good skills in TCP/IP networking and networking
technologies such as routers and switches.
Work with Manager of instructional design, Security Engineers, Consultants and
sales personnel to package best practices and real-world expertise into
training courses. Support the overall training initiative in developing and
delivering highly technical courses (online and instructor-led) and
certification exams to Sourcefire customers and the Snort community.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills:
* Leverage technical expertise to develop and document challenging lab
materials for training and certification programs
* Ensure the delivery of world-class training materials on product
(Sourcefire and Snort)
* Develop courses for worldwide delivery. Develop courseware from
design to completion. Must work collaboratively and cross functionally with
product experts
* Become a product expert. Achieve highest certification levels on
Sourcefire and Snort technology.
* Assist as a subject matter expert for certification exams and other
enablement-related activity.
* Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as
required
Experience Required:
* BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of technical training development and delivery
* Must have 5 + years of technical training and courseware development
experience with a proven track record of success.
* Must be able to gather requirements, perform instructional designs,
get buy-in by product experts and assist in developing education marketing
collateral.
* Knowledge of network security; specific expertise with Intrusion
Prevention Systems (IPS) a plus
* Must have network experience and be familiar with networking
technologies on a practical level
* Must be customer service oriented and must have a tack record of
consistently exceeding customer expectations.
* Must have Power Point and Frame maker experience (or have used an
equivalent software package)
* eLearning and/or web-based training delivery experience is a plus
* Must have deep knowledge of networking technologies and operating
systems (primarily Linux and Windows) and be prepared to construct diverse
scenarios to test product deployments/features/functionality using virtual
network infrastructures and networking hardware
* Must be prepared to implement information security technologies for
training and certification development to solve real-world enterprise security
issues
* Candidate will be critical in training trainers in newly developed
labs and general ongoing knowledge transfer with trainers.
