JOB DESCRIPTION

Position:       Security Engineer
Location:       Chantilly, Virginia, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2007-11-19

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and 
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Top 
Secret is required and have been granted SCI eligibility. 

Conducting vulnerability assessments of various technologies under 
consideration for use in a production environment and making recommendations to 
the DAA regarding the potential impact of the technology under review. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Candidate must possess a BS degree and 2 years related experience. If candidate 
does not possess a degree, must have 4 years related experience. Experience in 
various C&A disciplines, to include DITSCAP or DIACAP, DCID 6/3 
Vulnerability assessment experience 
Familiarity with DOD STIG documentation and NSA configuration guidesMust Have 
Skills 

- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing 
- Requirement to produce written products to support the operation of a 
classified DoD program, including briefings 
- Conduct initial and annual IS general user training 
- Strong interpersonal skills 
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as individually 
- Experience in the certification and accreditation of Government Classified 
Network Systems 
- Experience in system access control, auditing, and accountability 
- Security Incident Reporting and Response experiences 
- Network Intrusion Detection and Response experience 
- Malicious Code Detection, Response and Prevention 
- Network Configuration Management 
- Includes non-standard Government systems 
- Experience in classified system contamination issues 
- Experience handling system abuse issues 

Preferred Skills 
- Experience supporting operational tactical organizations/units 
- Experience or knowledge of basic computer forensics 
- Supports oversight of specialized operational systems and for deployment and 
cursory examination to ensure or minimize the inadvertent disclosure of 
sensitive information.
