The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team of IT and security professionals that demonstrate strong teamwork and knowledge sharing. This is a mixture of an administrative and technical position with the essential function of protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of WesCorp’s information systems and data. Essential functions include: -- Interact with both internal company employees and external customers to identify, troubleshoot, implement, and resolve access control and identity/provisioning issues. -- Define, document, monitor, and enforce discretionary and role-based access controls for technology systems. This includes documentation and deployment of network, operating system, database, or application security permissions. Security administration tasks will include interactions with AS/400, Windows networking with Active Directory, desktop/laptop PCs, and mobile devices. -- Act as an important contributor and project lead for information security efforts related to new business unit requirements for data security protection. -- Interact with the Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk departments to provide ongoing information related to access control maintenance, configuration, and deployments. -- Follow current technology as it relates to the systems security function, track significant regulatory changes and respond appropriately to ensure sufficient design and implementation of access controls. JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- -- Intermediate-level knowledge of access controls, including discretionary vs. role-based ACLs, authentication vs. authorization, and concepts such as least privilege. This includes the ability to analyze and implement access control policies. -- Knowledge of network-based Windows security controls, including NTFS permissions, INF files, and Active Directory Group Policy. Experience implementing Windows system security controls and provisioning user accounts is required. -- General knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and 2005 database authentication, permissions, and password controls. -- General understanding of network security controls, including the ability to gather and define application communication for firewall and other network controls. -- Strong experience interacting with IT departments, business units, and external customers from both a project and ongoing customer support perspective. -- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology with 2 years of focused work in the area of information security. Bachelor's degree is recommended. Industry or product certifications are a plus. Specialized Skills -- Must be detail-oriented and possess the skills necessary to work directly with a variety of individuals of differing backgrounds. Includes the ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment and provide feedback and information to both staff and management. -- Self-starter, motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. -- Strong verbal and written communication skills when dealing with internal IT personnel, business unit users and management, and external customers. -- Excellent organization, documentation, project management, and follow-through skills.
