Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: Denver, Colorado, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-11-18
Plan and perform application security assessments. Coordinate with development
teams to ensure application security standards are being followed and
implemented correctly. Serve as a security reference to development teams.
Evaluate application development and implementation activities for possible
vulnerabilities. Support required certification and/or operational approval
activities required to deploy applications in an airline environment. Evaluate
new security technology & trends, then provide recommendations to strengthen
Jeppesen's information security environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Skills
*Bachelors or Master's Degree in computer sciences, engineering, or related
field
*2+ years of experience (academic or professional) in cutting edge development
technologies, specifically Web based technologies using Java, MS .Net
framework, and C#
*3+ years of academic or professional web application development experience
*Experience implementing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions in a
Web-based environment
*Experience performing vulnerability risk assessments of application
environments using both manual procedures and automated analysis tools.
*Knowledge of network technologies and protocols
*Strong understanding of application security concepts such as Strong
Authentication, Encryption, Access Controls, endpoint security agents, memory
firewalls, XML gateways, host-based firewalls, and Intrusion Prevention Systems
(IPS)
Preferred Skills
*Security IT Audit or application assessment experience
*1-3 years of academic or professional technical information security
experience
*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified
Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification is desired
Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
Sun Certified Java Developer (SCJD)
