Job Purpose
Develop and deliver technical instructor-led and online training courses on
Sourcefire and Snort technology. Work with Manager of instructional design,
Security Engineers, Consultants and sales personnel to package best practices
into training courses. Support the overall initiative with technical writing
into courses (online and instructor-led) and certification exams.
Key Result Areas
* Ensure the delivery of world-class training on product (Sourcefire
and Snort)
* Deliver technical training classes on Sourcefire products and Snort
technology to customers, partners and employees
* Develop courses for worldwide delivery. Develop courseware from
design to completion. Must work collaboratively and cross functionally with
product experts
* Become a product expert. Achieve highest certification levels on
Sourcefire and Snort technology.
* Develop expertise on Sourcefire and Snort technology by building labs
for exercises and obtaining real-world expertise from the field.
* Assist as a subject matter expert for certification exams and other
enablement-related activity.
Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Critical Competencies
* Must have 5 + years of technical training and courseware development
experience with a proven track record of success.
* Must have experience with courseware development and training
projects.
* Must be able to gather requirements, perform instructional designs,
get buy-in by product experts and assist in developing education marketing
collateral.
* Experience in mentoring trainers, and developing/delivering
train-the-trainer programs, is a plus.
* Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in software / hardware
development.
* Must have network security expertise. Intrusion Prevention (IPS)
experience a plus,
* Must have PPT and Frame Maker expertise.
* Must know Linux and Unix.
* Must have experience installing and managing networks, operating
systems and databases.
* Must be customer service oriented and must have a tack record of
consistently exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements
* BS Degree
* 5+ years of technical training development and delivery
