JOB REQUIREMENTS

IT Security – Application Security:
Scope
• This position is responsible for identifying and mitigating threats to
the Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server database systems.
Reporting Lines
• To Manager, Application Security
Responsibilities
• Perform database vulnerability assessments;
• Assist in remediation of identified database vulnerabilities;
• Assist in development of database security policy, standards, and
baselines;
• Assist in database security process development;
• Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, availability, and auditability
at the database;
• Provide expertise in database security control implementation;
• Interface with business owners to classify information assets;
• Keep current on emerging database threats, vulnerabilities, and
security trends
Skills
• 3-5 years experience as a DBA, or equivalent experience as an
application developer;
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of information security principles as
they pertain to Database Security;
• Experience hardening Oracle, Sybase, and SQL Server databases;
• Experience with database security assessments;
• Working knowledge of implementing data encryption;
• Experience with GLBA, SOX, and other legislation affecting the
financial services industry.
• Experience conforming to FFIEC Guidelines;
• Strong written/verbal communication skills, and organizational and work
documentation proficiency;
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, handle multiple assignments,
and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Java Application Development background a plus;
• Knowledge of applications and systems employed by the Bank is a plus;
• Enthusiastic about information security.
