JOB REQUIREMENTS

Our client is a leading global provider of communication products and services, 
and designs, develops and markets systems and software for video, voice and 
data, and is currently seeking a Director of Federal Business Development & 
Service Delivery for its Herndon, VA location.

The Director of Federal Business Development & Service Delivery will be 
responsible for all aspects of the Federal Professional Services group, 
including generation of new business and service delivery to current and 
prospective federal government customers.   This position will be directly 
supported by a team of Strategic Account Service Managers and will be 
responsible with interacting with clients during the sales process to sell an 
engagement and post sales to ensure a consistent and quality experience 
throughout their tenure as customers.

Responsibilities
•    Responsible for driving business in the assigned vertical of Federal 
Civilian, Military and Intelligence Community clients and achieving bookings 
and revenue targets on a quarterly basis
Responsible for pre-sales engagement with customers, partners and sales teams.
•    Negotiate SOWs, MSAs, Contract terms, tasking and scope of proposed 
projects.  Manage RFP/RFI/RFQ
•    Responsible for post-sales delivery of services and building and 
maintaining a strong relationship with clients.
•    Manage a team of Account Managers, responsible for providing a 
critical touch point in post-sales client satisfaction.
•    Host routine service reviews with accounts and identify service areas 
that require attention to improve customer satisfaction.
•    Onboard both new clients and assist with moves, adds and changes to 
existing clients.
•    Responsible for handoff of client from sales to delivery and 
interacting with the Operations teams to insure a successful and prompt 
implementation.  
•    Manage and track customer satisfaction for all assigned accounts; 
Identify major issues for dissatisfied accounts and work with extended team to 
resolve issues.
•    Identify unique client needs and build solutions in coordination with 
Sales, Pre-Sales and Strategic Account Service Managers teams.
•    Regularly interacts with major current and potential customers. 
Interactions normally involve explaining value proposition, service issues, 
contract negotiations, or influencing and persuading senior level managers.
•    Internally, the position will require significant cross functional 
interactions, both inside the business unit, and with various support teams

Experience/Qualifications
•    Bachelor's Degree required.  Master’s degree desired..
•    8-10 Years in Management of Service Delivery, Customer Support, Field 
Service, Technical Operations, or Professional Services, within an IT Vendor, 
Network Services Provider, VAR or Systems Integrator.
•    Strong Federal government market knowledge essential.   
•    Prior experience in sales or business development to the Federal 
government (Military, Civilian or Intelligence) essential.
•    Current Federal government clearance (TS, TS/SCI, TS/SSBI, TS/SSBI LS 
Poly) strongly preferred.
•    Ability to gain government clearance required.  US Citizenship 
required.


Technical knowledge of 3 of more of the following required: IP  Networking 
(VoIP, SIP), WAN Network Equipment, Network Services, Hardware, Software, 
Managed Services offerings.
Minimum 3 years of applicable experience within services sales,
Ambitious, hard-working, enthusiastic. goal oriented, team player.
Strong presentation skills required
Previous senior level management skills for multiple departmental units are 
necessary.
