Position:       Sales Engineer
Location:       Boston, Massachusetts, United States

- Shortens the sales cycle by overcoming technical hurdles within enterprise 
accounts.
- Provides services to reseller partners that service key enterprise accounts, 
as well as to Enterprise Account Managers that enable penetration into 
enterprise accounts.
- Drives sales with technical expertise, account management skills, sales 
ability and a superior customer focus.
- Must be able to present platform architecture, as well as identify key 
business values.
- Must have solid communication skills, sales ability, technical expertise, and 
work well in a team or independently.
- Must be able to communicate extremely complicated technical material in a 
highly stressful yet results oriented environment.
- Manages projects within Enterprise Accounts as is appropriate to drive 
further sales into the organization.
- Works with Corporate to develop presentation materials and technical white 
papers to contribute to the future of company’s products, as well as 
company’s sales success.
- Work with enterprise customers to identify needs.
- Leverages relationships with organizations to solve technical hurdles and 
foster awareness of company products and solutions.
- Works with the Inside and Outside sales representatives for the region on 
joint account calls, providing feedback to these sales team members, and 
implementing driving plans for account penetration in the enterprise.
- Drives internal and external sales and technical readiness of the organization
- Works with the appropriate teams to resolve issues internally as well as 
externally with business partners.
- Acts as a mentor to other Systems Engineers to share knowledge and best 
practices to advance sales of company products and technologies.




JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Must have an expert knowledge and understanding of company platforms and 
associated management and portal products, as well as server based computing 
and application management and deployment.
- Must understand and research positioning of company and competitive product 
architecture, migration and coexistence in heterogeneous environments.
- Demonstrates an ability to leverage an expert understanding of scalability, 
availability, and reliability into customer accounts.
- Demonstrates an advanced understanding of Windows, Unix, internet 
technologies, web serving, portal integration, network security, and directory 
services.
- Demonstrates an ability to determine opportunities in customer situations to 
leverage selling opportunties.
- Must have the ability to present company’s in-depth positioning on 
server based computing strategies.
- Must be able to recognize the comfort level of the audience and present 
extremely technical information in a fashion that can be understood by the 
audience.
- Demonstrates excellent listening skills resulting in high level of customer 
satisfaction.
- Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential technical 
hurdles.
- Must have excellent written skills in the for of presentations, email, white 
papers, and technical notes.
- Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of an enterprise 
customer including C-level.
- Self-starter that manages time and activities with little day-to-day guidance 
or interaction from their Regional Manager.
- Must exhibit a positive attitude, represent company to business partners and 
customers in the best possible fashion, and foster interest in company 
technology and the company to audiences.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a very large number of diverse tasks, 
utilizing coaching conversation to align career goals and Regional goals.
- Provides statistical information based on field and account activity to the 
Regional Manager in a timely manner.
- Must finish paperwork and use internal company account management 
applications in a timely fashion (i.e. expenses, CRM entries, feedback 
questionnaires).
- Works with sales team to develop focus accounts to drive sales deeper into 
organizations that may already have company, or are prospects for company 
technology.
- Must be a thought leader in adopting changes within company.
- Must think out of the box to help create new business processes, presentation 
material, positioning statements, product enhancements, and/or technical or 
sales tools to help generate revenue.
- Must be flexible in adapting to changes within company, and thinks from a big 
picture perspective when evaluating need for change.
