Position: Technology Risk Consultant
Location: Mountain View, California, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-11-02
The Information Security Risk Specialist (InfoSec) is responsible for the
detailed design, testing and execution of the Risk Management plan in Symantec
corporate networks to world-class standards.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design of a solution
to provide innovative qualification, quantification and management of risk and
will assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive InfoSec
Risk Assessment methodology. This will lead to the development of a Risk
Mitigation plan and the design, testing and execution of this plan.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree required. CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification preferred. SANS
GIAC, CERT, CCNA/P an advantage.
Minimum 5 years or more of clearly progressive, professional development in the
general areas of technology risk management and mitigation technologies
(firewalls/IDS/IPS/AV/VA).
Demonstrated ability to perform security assessments or perform audits of a
security environment.
The role requires a broad understanding of information security in a cross
platform environment, information technology auditing and business continuity
management.
The candidate must also be able to effectively multi-task competing priorities,
and be pro-active in addressing issues quickly.
Candidate should be a self starter and a thought leader within a team. Well
developed presentation skills mandatory.
Must be willing to travel internationally as required.
