Position: Security Consultant
Location: Arlington, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-10-28
• Will perform sensor tuning and general IDS troubleshooting.
• Will develop new signatures/rule sets and perform advanced offline
analysis.
• Analyst will research and track vulnerabilities as well as perform
penetration studies and vulnerability assessments.
• Will work with a team of Security Engineers in a Network Operations
Security Center (NOSC) reviewing security incidents, managing security
technologies (such as IDS), documenting processes and escalation procedures,
and working with systems administrators and network engineers to manage and
resolve security incidents.
• Engineers must be willing to work shifts in a 24/7 environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security
investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information. Top Secret clearance required with SCI within the past 2 years.
• Candidate must possess 2 year information security experience plus a
BA/BS degree. If no degree, 4 years of security experience is required.
• Candidates must possess experience working with intrusion detection
systems researching/tracking vulnerabilities. Experience with Sourcefire IDS is
a plus.
• Experience with developing new signatures/rule sets.
Experience with Sourcefire IDS is a plus but solid experience with any IDS
tools such as ISS Realsecure, Snort,Nessus etc etc.
Candidate must possess 1 year information security experience plus a BA/BS
degree. If no degree, 4 years of security experience is required.
