Position: Security Engineer
Location: Reston, Virginia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-10-21
The Goal Inc. is currently searching, on behalf of it client, for engineers to
fill several open positions in Reston, VA.
Currently, our client has 23 people on location. They have had this contract
for over 3 years and will it is scheduled for re-bid in about 18 months. If
successful, our client will renew the contract for an additional 10 years.
We currently have the need for Sr. Security Engineers and one Operations
Manager, to be located in Reston, VA. The scope of this effort is to monitor
the logs from the IDS’ and take the appropriate action to remedy the
situations.
Brief job descriptions:
Operation Manager
• This requires management skill and experience in addition to expertise
in all aspects of network/systems security: IDS/penetration testing, etc.
• Former experience managing a Security Operations Center
Sr. Security Engineers
• Deploy Signatures
• Validating Alarms (positive/negative) and checking for abnormal
activates. Taking appropriate action
• Writing daily reports
• Pen testing
• Remedy tracking
• Providing recommendations
• Update HW that is related to the security operation
