Education Requirement/ Years Experience: BS/BA in Computer Science, or related field Minimum of 4-5 years experience required. Rate: $45.00/hr Job Description: • Support managed security services practice with security policy and technical leadership • Support or lead problem identification through incident report analysis, root cause analysis of problems, resolution / solution to correct problems, forensic information capture • Install, test, verify, and validate software and hardware performance as required in supporting new systems deployment, upgrades to existing systems, and re-capitalization activities. • Propose security architecture alternatives to address requirements and maintain compatibility among solutions. • The incumbent may be required to lead a project/tiger team to resolve significant problems or plan the deployment of new systems of hardware and software. Qualifications: • CISSP preferred. CISSP-ISSAP, ISSMP, or CISM recommended. • Vendor product certifications a plus. • Experience with wide range of security technologies to support deployment of state-of-the art network infrastructure and ongoing technical support. • 5 years experience as a Security Analyst, Administrator or Engineer. • Must have experience designing, installing, testing, verifying, and validating security systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • 5+ yrs experience with Solaris (including Solaris 8, 9 and 10) • Plus if has knowledge of Sun Identity Manager, RSA, SSH and TACACS+ • Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills • Willingness to be on call • Knowledge of Veritas • Ability to mentor other staff on Solaris 10 • Jumpstart, System Backup & Restore, Patch & Package • Experience in shell scripting and automation - perl or ksh, csh, etc. • Configuring and Installing Software products such as Oracle • Performance Monitoring & Tuning • Backup and Recovery • Troubleshooting/Problem Resolution • Security Hardening • Network & Internet Applications • TCP/IP Knowledge & Experience • DNS • Sendmail • Apache Web Server • Storage Management • Veritas Volume Manager • RAID Knowledge and Experience • Veritas Cluster Server Experience: • Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, terminology and trends information assurance/network security. • Manage work packages and provide interface to project management. • Assess new requirements and technology and determine impact on existing system. • Implementation of advanced network protocols such as VOIP, CEMOIP, BGP, and LDAP/PKI • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
