The Role
The role will be responsible for the development, enhancement of an Information
Security / Risk practice
Security Infrastructure / Architecture – Have the ability to perform
architecture, design, implementation, audit and review of security systems.
VoIP Security - The applicant will have an in-depth knowledge of VoIP
technologies from key manufacturers such as Cisco, Avaya and Nortel. A solid
understanding of VoIP specific protocols, security risks, testing
methodologies and techniques.
Firewalls– Be able to perform Firewall Rulebase audits of common Firewall
architectures such as Cisco PIX and Checkpoint FW-1.
RFP / SoW Response - Assist with the response to RFP and prepare SoW
(Statements of Work) and aid in other pre-sales activities.
Secure Code Audit – Perform security code audits and deliver Secure Coding
Principles training to clients. Languages: C, C++, C#, JAVA, .NET, I386 ASM,
PERL, Python, Shell.
Penetration Testing – The role must have a deep understanding of up to
date Penetration Testing techniques and methodologies and be able to be self
sufficient in the delivery of such projects.
Client Facing – The applicant must be client facing and comfortable in
delivering clear and concise information to the client at both the technical
and boardroom level. In addition, the applicant will be able to grow client
relationships.
Experience Required:
Essential:
Must be able to gain and maintain UK Government Security Clearance
Self motivated and well organised - ability to deliver to objectives within
defined timescales
Passionate – Show a passion for Information Security
Drive to constantly improve own skills
Ability to articulate complex security issues in simple business terms
Ability to scope and deliver security projects on time and within budget
Excellent Communicator both written and verbal
Ability to work as part of a global security team
Highly client facing
Tenacious
Primary Skills -
Broad Information Security experience
Deep understanding of Architecture Security
Deep technical knowledge of application and data security
Deep infrastructure understanding (firewalls, protocols, data storage)
Hacking and Penetration Testing Techniques and Methodologies
Ideally CHECK Team Leader certified (or member).
Familiarity with open source intelligence methodologies and approaches
