Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Foster City, California, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-10-22
JOB SCOPE
• Candidate will be responsible for analysis and design and deployment of
security technologies and controls; work will be specifically focused on
centralized security/audit logging infrastructure and working with various
internal groups to leverage the infrastructure.
• The Candidate may also be required to assist in the evaluation of
emerging security technologies; pairing them against identified infrastructure
security requirements using standard evaluation methodologies and criteria.
• Additionally the candidate may be responsible for providing backup
support to other existing and/or emerging security product deployments.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
• The candidate should have strong written and verbal communication
skills to assist in working with a variety of internal groups in the course of
the analysis, design, and implementation of security technologies.
• Candidate will have strong information and network security skills and
experience, especially in the areas of security event and incident management.
This should be in the form of hands-on work with security technologies.
• The candidate should have experience in analyzing, designing and/or
deploying these technologies in a large enterprise.
• The candidate should have experience in multiple Operating
environments, such as Windows, Linux, Unix.
• Experience with MVS, Tandem, and AS400 platforms would be beneficial.
• UNIX, UNIX Scripting, Linux, Windows 2000, AIX, Windows NT, Solaris
Additional Skills
• Experience in fields directly related to network and information
security is required.
• Knowledge of security log and event management.
• Intellitactics experience is a plus.
• Candidate should have a CS degree or related experience/education.
