Position: Security Engineer
Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States
Type: Contract
Closing Date: 2007-10-07
· This individual will be responsible for the operational
management of security monitoring with a team of # 5 Managed Security Services
professionals
· This individual provides leadership in day-to-day security
service operations as well as guidance in security service process
improvements, the management of Risk, security best practices, security
regulatory requirements, standardization, technological improvements, customer
support, solution support and key strategic/tactical security service
implementations.
Provide daily operational direction and oversight in meeting committed customer
SLAs; work in direct contact
· with client personnel, SME’s in the enterprise security
group organization on leverage opportunities;
· Develop overall operational policies and procedures in
compliance with ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, FISMA and ISO guidelines (i.e. ISO
17799). Implement and manage Metrics and Reporting required for security
services;
Implement and manage key performance indicators to assure customer satisfaction
and operational performance; work as liaison between the customer, solution
team, and SOC
Quals:
· Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent applicable experience
required.
5 years of IT security related management, or network engineering type
management with a strong security component and customer service support
· Strong SOC/NOC type operations management experience.
· Ability to lead, manage and develop technical teams.
· Ability to ensure outstanding service delivery and customer
satisfaction in classified/unclassified environments.
· Ability to monitor, identify and swiftly correct process
deficiencies. Inspires confidence in customers.
· Technical familiarity with firewalls, intrusion, incident
handling, security processes, policies, management, regulatory requirements.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to
analyze operational performance data and metrics and determine courses of
action. Strong process and policy orientation.
Able to develop, implement and enforce sound policies and
