Position:       Software Engineer
Location:       Austin, Texas, United States
Type:           Permanent F/T

Closing Date:   2007-10-11

Design and develop web-based software solutions for a Device Management 
product. This position entails requirements gathering and specification, design 
modeling, implementation, and integration with other system components.


JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
&#149;  Experience designing and developing object-oriented web based 
management applications.  <P>
&#149;  Ability to write functional requirements specifications. Experience 
designing and implementing object models. UML experience a plus. <P>
&#149;  Veteran Java developer on the Linux platform. C++ experience is a plus. 
<P>
&#149;  Experience developing Network Management Systems and using Network 
Management tools. SNMP experience is a requirement Custom MIB design experience 
highly desirable. <P>
&#149;  Back-end server skills, including integration with other system 
components. Integration with third party event management systems a plus. <P>
&#149;  Solid relational database skills. Data modeling a plus. Good SQL 
skills. PostgreSQL experience a plus. Hibernate experience a plus. <P>
&#149;  XML skills, including parsing models as well as experience with XML 
object frameworks (marshaling/unmarshaling frameworks) <P>
&#149;  Presentation layer skills, web development skills (Java Servlet model, 
HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, Stripes) a plus <P>
&#149;  Unit testing experience (JUnit experience a plus). <P>
&#149;  3 to 6 years of experience <P>
&#149;  Degree in EE or Computer Science. <P>
