Position: Manager, Information Security
Location: London, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-10-12
The key objective of the role is to provide security consultancy and technical
expertise to facilitate the deployment of effective information security
measures in accordance with agreed information security policies and standards.
Strategic management
On-going monitoring of information security innovation and change to identify
opportunities to exploit for business benefit – eg to reduce risk or to
manage the cost of security.
Technical testing and evaluation of security products as agreed.
Advice and guidance on the deployment of practical information security
measures and technology solutions.
Assist the Information Security Manager with the development and maintenance of
global information security strategy, policies and standards for application,
infrastructure and monitoring technologies.
Promotion of security awareness amongst staff globally.
Operational management
Assistance to the Technical Support teams in the deployment of agreed
information security technology solutions.
Support of the security incident reporting and notification process (SIRAN).
Manage security incidents to minimise business impact when necessary
Administration of security process checks internal to IT – in particular
intrusion detection – others as agreed.
Operation and administration of security monitoring and control process
General management
Liaison with and support of information security contacts in overseas offices.
Management of main information security supplier relationships
