Position: Security Engineer
Location: Lexington Park, Maryland, United States

Systems Security Engineer (Anti-Tamper)
Position Description:
Position(s) available immediately for systems security engineering support for
a major NAVAIR ACAT 1D program. Will provide direct support in the areas of
Research and Technology Protection, Acquisition Program Protection Planning,
Anti-Tamper (AT) implementation and solutions. Will identify Critical Program
Information (CPI), perform vulnerability assessments, participate in the
development of system security engineering plans (SEMP) and system security
management plans (SSMP), and will develop risk assessments and mitigation
strategies along with system engineering level reviews of architecture designs
with a focus on horizontal technology protection and security throughout the
life cycle of the acquisition effort, deployment, and use until
demilitarization. Will coordinate efforts of various DoD program offices,
prime contractors, government/industry subject matter experts, and Department
of the Navy Technical Authorities in determining and implementing system
security e
ngineering (SSE) requirements. Selected candidate(s) will have the
opportunity to expand area of expertise and resources will be provided to grow
business in system security engineering activities or other security related
fields. This position is located in Lexington Park, Maryland.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Required Experience:
6-8 years of systems engineering experience in weapon systems programs;
proactive, self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight;
familiar with DoD 5200.39 and DoD 5200.1-M. Ability to multi-task, establish
effective and efficient task-related priorities and provide superior customer
support. Prior military experience not required but a plus; DoD anti-tamper
and reverse engineering training; experience in DoD and/or NAVAIR acquisition
programs and processes; DoD Acquisition Program Protection Plans, Anti-Tamper
Plan, Critical Program Information (CPI) development, System Security
Engineering Plans.
Required Education:
BA/BS degree or 2 years of additional relevant experience will be considered in
lieu of each year of education. Professional certification (CISSP, etc…)
preferred.
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to
meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret
clearance required, must be TS eligible.
