Position: Security System Administrator

System/ Network Security Administrator
Applied Trust, a network consulting firm based in Boulder, CO, is seeking a
System / Network Security Administrator to consult with our clients in IT
operations and on IT projects that focus on system and network security, with
phases that include design, implementation, assessment, and management. Strong
analytical problem-solving skills, knowledge of network security audits,
planning, reporting, and implementation ability are essential. Ideal candidate
should have experience with a breadth of technologies, including Linux, Unix,
Microsoft, TCP/IP, and Cisco.
Key contributions of a System/Network Security Administrator at Applied Trust
include:
• Researching, developing and updating information security standards.
• Providing guidance on authentication, auditing, and risk management.
• Analyzing the functionality and operations of systems to determine
adequate security, controls, and data integrity.
• Mentoring less experienced engineering staff.
• Managing and resolving open IT issues.
• Conducting IT security incident investigation.
• Designing systems/networks.
• Performing technology evaluation and implementation.
• Debugging user-reported problems.
• Monitoring systems and networks.
• Performing security and performance assessments
JOB REQUIREMENTS

A BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant major is
required. Must have experience as a security administrator, system
administrator, or network administrator. Excellent troubleshooting, planning,
time management, project management, and communications skills are also
required.
