Position: Sr. Security Analyst
Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

Global Networkers, Inc. has an opportunity as a Security Operations Analyst
with our client located in Washington DC Metro area.
The Security Operations Analyst will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring
and integration of the network based security infrastructure of our
client’s IT environment.
Security Operations Analyst Responsibilities Include:
Propose new technology and infrastructure solutions
Provide third level support for all security-related concerns to the Network
Operations Center
Serve as the lead Analyst on network-based security infrastructure projects and
daily operations
Reviewing and analyzing firewall, network device, and IDS alerts, logs, and
configurations

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
5-7 years IT experience; at least 3 of those years focused on IT security.
Experience in the configuration and operation of vulnerability scanners,
Nessus, nCircle, and port scanners
Experienced in troubleshooting, auditing, and performing forensic analysis on
TCP/IP based networks through utilization of log analysis, protocol analyzers,
and sniffer technologies.
Experience using Patchlink, and IronPort appliances
Experience with BlueCoat proxy appliance preferable; ability to apply updates
to the operating system and rule sets; create custom filters from the command
line or GUI interfaces.
Analytical problem-solving skills
Knowledge of security issues surrounding UNIX, Windows, TCP/IP, email, and DNS.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with providing assessments and analysis
Able to execute and follow structured project management processes
Experience creating documents, spreadsheets, and detailed drawings in Corel
Suite, MS Office Suite and/or Visio.
