Position: Security Consultant
Location: London or Reading, , United Kingdom
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-09-30
The role will be responsible for the development, enhancement of an Information
Security / Risk practice within one of the worlds truly Global
Telecommunication Providers. The role requires the following attributes:
Security Infrastructure / Architecture – Have the ability to perform
architecture, design, implementation, audit and review of security systems. The
incumbent will have knowledge of VoIP and MPLS security. Perform customer
presentations, and aid in other pre-sales activities, ideally have some
business development experience.
Penetration Testing – The role must have an understanding of penetration
testing techniques and methodologies and be able to scope Pen Testing projects.

Primary Skills
Broad Information Security experience
Ability to analyse business processes, strategy and policies and provide
pragmatic security solutions
Deep understanding of Security Architecture
Deep technical knowledge of application and data security
Deep infrastructure understanding (firewalls, protocols, data storage)
Hacking and pen testing techniques
Good Knowledge of information security legal and regulatory requirements such
as PCI, ISO27001, SOx, GLBA and other international data privacy regulations
Secondary: (Not required but advantageous)
CHECK Team Leader certified
CLAS
CISSP/CISM/MSc Information Security
Understanding of the investment banking industry
Ability to influence
Good business and technology analysis skills

Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work as part of a global team
Familiarity with open source intelligence methodologies and approaches
Northern European Languages
