Key Responsibilities:
1) Manage teams of QA Engineers with QA Leads, working on multiple projects
related with identity protection and internet security.
2) Work closely with cross-functional teams like Development, Documentation,
TestLabs, Program Management to achieve common goals for the QA as well as
Engineering departments and VeriSign in general.
3) To provide career planning and mentoring as required to build the skill set
within the team to meet all present and future requirements and ensure a highly
motivated and skilled team.
4) This role includes drawing up estimations for resources (technical & people)
required for projects based on business requirements and managing all projects
through to successful implementation in line with agreed schedules and
policies, processes and procedures.
5) This role needs occasional domestic and international travel to visit and
work with teams in other VeriSign locations, when necessary.
Key Requirements:
A) Personal Skills:
1) Team Player with strong customer focus, leadership, communication and
project management skills.
2) Self-motivated and creative individual who strives to meet tight deadlines
and possess enthusiasm and a willingness to learn new disciplines.
3)Responsible for the successful delivery of projects through the full SDLC, in
line with functionality, cost and timeline projections.
4) Ensure that a core set of skills are hired, retained and developed to meet
ongoing business requirements.
5) Should have excellent written/verbal/influencing/leadership skills.
B) Position Requirements And Education:
1) Qualifications: Should posssess Masters or Bachelor's degree, preferably in
a Computer Science or Engineering or Business Management discipline.
2) Overall Experience - Total 8-10 years of experience, 3 of which should be in
QA manager or QA/Development lead capacity within a software development
environment. Must have led the team of atleast 6 Engineers for multiple product
releaseses successfully. Candidates with prior experience in internet security
company are highly desired.
3) Hands-on Experience: At least 3 years in a "Software QA" or "Developer" Role
as individual contributor in various technical disciplines and platforms.
