Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-09-29
This position assists in developing, maintaining and publishing corporate
information security standards, procedures and guidelines for enterprise
computing platforms. The individual will provide technical guidance and
training to business owners and other IT staff. The position will be
responsible for the evaluation, integration, upgrade and management of
Information Security technologies and processes across varying architectures
and platforms. The individual will work closely with other staff members
throughout the organization on security products, services and tools to execute
a comprehensive security strategy for the company. This individual will be
required to be on a rotating on-call schedule during off-hours for the support
of various security products and technical support.
The individual will also implement programs for staff awareness, compliance
monitoring and overall security compliance. The position will require regular
contact with software/hardware vendors and for the individual to develop
relationships with professional organizations and user groups to keep abreast
of new trends in Information Security.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. 4-6 years
of Secruity experience in Network and/or eCommerce Security. Must have 4-6
years of experience in intrusion detections, vulnerability scanning, monitoring
networks and encryption. Musht have experience working in an information
security focused area. CISSP strongly preferred. Other certifications a plus
including SANS. Effectively utilize the security architecture and security
tools to perform vulnerability analysis, monitoring, intrusion prevention,
policy enforcement and complaince. These responsibilities should be carried
out with minimal direct supervision. Play a key role in establishing and
enhancing the infrastructure security architecture and policies in complaince
with industry regulations and standards. Research current security trends and
perform gap analysis between exisiting procedures, policy and industry
standards.Assist in the development, testing and implementation of security pla
ns, products, control techniques and policies. Mentor infrastructure security
staff and other areas of IT regarding security architecture and concepts.
Provide expertise to company-wide projects regarding infrastructure and
application security solutions.Manage security engineering processes throughout
the lifecycle and support the documentation, education and training of these
processes.Use complex tracking and data anlysis to identify potential
intrusions and remediating any incidents.
