Position: Security System Administrator
Location: Torrance, CA, , United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-09-23
Architect and manage the IT monitoring infrastructure for both system
availability, system performance, and IT security Develop alerting and
escalation processes, policies and procedures. Gather monitoring requirements
from various IT groups including system support and development. Test and
validate alerting mechanisms5. Provide trending reports and statistics to
management. Maintain a central reporting portal. Ensure that remediation teams
are properly notified of new alerts. Provide monitoring requirements on all new
systems, applications, databases, and networks being implemented. Stay abreast
of infrastructure and configuration changes in the environment. Coordinate
regular PCI and SOX related scans and audits for systems environment.
Interface with internal and external audit groups as well as risk management;
coordinate remediation efforts of identified issues
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skill Requirements- Past implementation of enterprise wide monitoring
applications such as HP Openview, Tivoli, NetIQ or CA Spectrum- Experienced
with monitoring integrations with ticketing systems such as Remedy and Support
Magic- Experienced with managing and using monitoring tools such as Solarwinds
and Keynote- Very familiar with Windows Performance counters and performance
monitor- Very familiar with using SNMP- Ability to evaluate performance
counters and metrics for database servers
