Position: Sr. Security Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas, United States
Type: Permanent F/T
Closing Date: 2007-09-25
IT Outsourcing firm based in Dallas, TX. is recruiting for a Senior Security
Engineer.
Must have at least 5 years experience in the following:
-Information Security management – manage day to day aspects of IT
security (using ISO17799/27002 or equiv. framework.)
-Participate in audit activities for IT security (using ISO27001, CobIT, HIPAA,
etc.)
-Intrusion detection and prevention – Manage national deployment IDS/IPS
solutions.
-Vulnerability assessment – Manage network vulnerability scanning and
reports using a variety of assessment technology including web assessment tools.
-Intrusion response – Must be available and willing to provide expert
response to security events 24x7x365.
-Evaluate security technology – Participate and manage evaluation of a
variety of security solutions as required.
-Assist with policy creation and maintenance – create, maintain, and
enforce security policies in an enterprise environment.
-Security event management – Manage security events and reporting from a
variety of sources (such as firewall, VPN, IDS/IPS, Web Content, Mail content,
AV, Patch Mgmt, and other endpoints).
-Security related investigations - Participate in security/forensic
investigations as required.
-IT project management - Manage security aspects of IT projects as required
(design review, assessment, hardening oversight, etc.).
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communications skills required.
CISSP certification strongly desired. Compensation based on skills and
experience.
