Position: Technical Writer
Location: Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States
Type: Permanent P/T

Our client is among the Fast 50 growing companies in the DC Metro area. They
have recently won a large contract and are looking to add to their staff of
technical professionals.
The Information Security Technical Trainer will support the Cyber Security
initiatives for a federal client.
What you will be doing:
You will assist in development of technical security policies, standards,
baselines procedures, and training programs. Develop and maintain technical
security standards to govern operational practices within various information
security subject areas (I.e., operating system security, use of encryption,
network security, authentication, authorization, and auditing). Develop,
maintain, and deliver training materials in various information security
subject areas for the purposes of employee awareness and education. Demonstrate
the ability to assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and
effective manner. Responsible for the creation, coordination, and delivery of
technical training and development programs to all levels of end-users and IT
professionals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the proven
ability to present complex, technical information to both technical and
non-technical audiences. The position requires some domestic travel, and an abi
lity to work with clients resident in multiple time zones.
What you need to have to get this job:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Computer
Science, Information Systems, Education, other related field and or equivalent
work experience
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years IT/technical training experience is
required, to include three (3) or more years of progressive information
security experience. Experiential knowledge in the areas of Information
Assurance and or Cyber Security.
Skills: Strong technical writing, and presentation skills are required.
Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent
customer service skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to
multitask, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is a contract to permanent position. The contract offers medical benefits
and paid time off and the conversion to permanent offers a full benefits
