Location:       Washington DC, District of Columbia, United States

Our client is among the top 50 fastest growing companies in the DC Metro area. 
They have recently won a large engagement and they are looking to add 
outstanding technical professionals to their team. 

As a Security Engineer what you will be doing: 

The Security Engineer oversees a large and complex portfolio of Certification 
and Accreditation (C&A) processes for a federal client. Responsible for the 
evaluation of security risks, execution of Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E), 
production of security documentation, assessment of proposed technology 
changes, technical evaluation of potential security control mechanisms and 
products and associated continuous monitoring activities. The successful 
candidate must be able to interface well with all management levels, system 
owners, administrative personnel, and highly technical cyber security analysts. 
Must be able to write and articulate reasoned judgments of system descriptions 
and technical ST&E plans, monitor and assess all phases of C&A. This position 
requires some domestic travel, and an ability to work with clients resident in 
multiple time zones. Government security clearance preferred. US Citizenship 
required 

What you need to have to get this job: 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or 
equivalent years of experience. Certified Information Systems Security 
Professional (CISSP), certification and other security certification desirable. 

Experience: Minimum of six (6) years IT/technical experience is required, to 
include three (3) or more years of progressive information security experience 
with Federal Government projects. At least three (3) full year of experience 
performing NIST SP800-30 risk assessments and applying NIST SP800-53 security 
controls. Additional experience with FISMA, FIPS, and OMB circular A-130 
desirable. 

Skills: Strong technical, writing, and presentation skills are required. 
Requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent 
customer service skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to 
multitask, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

Contract to permanent offers medical benefits and paid time off, conversion to 
permanent offers full pacakage.
