Job Description:
This position offers the candidate an exciting opportunity to build and shape
the Australian and New Zealand markets and to rapidly grow Sourcefire's
business.
The candidate will be responsible for all sales of Sourcefire technologies
within the Territory, targeting Global 2000 and major Australian and New
Zealand accounts. Additional responsibilities include developing, training and
managing distribution partners throughout the Territory. Initially the position
is an individual quota carrying role, with the opportunity for expanded
management responsibility as the business in the Territory expands.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
Required Skills:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification.
*Fluent in English.
Experience Required:
*Experienced Regional Sales Manager or Country Manager with a minimum
of 7 to 10 years of proven software sales experience. This experience must
include working for companies in the information security business, preferably
in the network security space.
*Experience selling complex software-based solutions such as network
security (Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Firewall, VPN, and related
technologies) or Network and Systems management solutions.
*Candidate must have experience working in an early stage start-up for
three (3) or more years and preferably for more than one (1) start-up.
*Direct touch sales experience combined with the ability to build and
motivate an indirect channel.
*Demonstrated knowledge of the network security channels throughout the
Territory, including personal relationships with these companies.
*Proven/Quantifiable track record of over-achievement against quota
assignment in at least 5 of the last 7 years.
*Track record in closing major enterprise sales - projects in excess of
US$500,000.
*Successful track record of building start-up technology company sales
teams.
Desired Skills and Experience:
*Experience in applying solution selling methodologies to maximize
corporate revenue growth.
*Experience in training partners, with a focus on knowledge transfer,
forecasting accuracy, and solution selling methodologies to partner
relationships.
*Press experience and contacts are desirable.
