Candidate’s regular duties will involve varying levels of proof-of-concept exploit development, reverse engineering, signature development, and advisory preparation. Key Functions: • Analyze Honeynet traffic to identify new threats • Develop proof-of-concept exploits for partially disclosed vulnerabilities • Develop IDS/IPS signatures for threats • Reverse engineer patched software • Malware analysis • Prepare security advisories and threat analyses • Develop and extend automated unpacking tools JOB REQUIREMENTS --------------------------------------------------- • 3 or more years experience with TCP/IP networking protocols • 2 or more years experience with a high-level scripting language such as Perl or Python • 2 or more years experience with Snort or similar IDS/IPS product • Advanced knowledge of vulnerability exploitation, including buffer overflows, integer overflows, XSS, SQL Injection etc. • 2 or more years experience reverse engineering with experience using one of IDA Pro, PaiMei, OllyDbg or MS Detours.
